Phoenix Industries, (PI) is pleased to announce the completion and shipment of two AR150 asphalt rubber blending plants, one to the UK and the other to Russia. The AR150 is a portable unit specially designed to blend crumb rubber made from waste tires with asphalt cement (bitumen) for use as a binder material in asphalt paving. This rubberized binder (Asphalt Rubber) creates a more durable and longer lasting roadway while providing a positive economic and environmentally friendly use for end of life tires.
In addition to the model AR150 that produces up to 15 tons per hour of rubberized binder, PI offers the larger AR200 and AR300 models that produce 20 and 30 tons per hour respectively.

We’re confident that once they see how well the pavement performs with the rubberized binder and look at the added benefit of eliminating waste tires, the need for our blending units will grow.”
