Phoenix Industries, a U.S. based manufacturing and technology company conducted a one day seminar entitled The Waste Tyre Recycling Process and the Uses of Recycled Rubber. The seminar topics included: Tyre Recycling Overview, Tyre Rubber in Asphalt Paving, Rubber Molded Products and The Economics of Tyre Recycling.
The seminar was conducted by Kelly Sockwell, the Technical Director for Phoenix Industries. Mr. Sockwell said “We were very pleased with the turnout we had for this event. We do this from time to time in areas where we have had a lot of interest, and over the last year or so we have received many inquiries from South Africa. This type of setting lets us provide a great deal of information to a large group of people with the same interests. We had government officials tasked with finding a solution for waste tyres in there are, and companies & business minded individuals looking to take advantage of the growing opportunities in this field.”
Other similar seminars and workshops are being planned for Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
